What do Museum Makers do?

Museum Makers are ambassadors of Wardown House, Museum and Gallery.. As a Museum Maker you can support the museum in many different ways. Whether as a passive supporter, sharing and generating awareness about what we do here or actively getting involved through volunteering opportunities, there is something for everyone.

From sharing ideas, time, skills and passions, to helping us shape a sustainable and resilient museum for the future. As a Museum Maker you can directly have a say and influence key areas of the museum. As a Museum Maker you will be supported by a team of highly skilled members of staff. Why not join us?


How will I know what to do?

Training, developing and investing in our volunteers is one of Museum Makers key priorities and it is always a pleasure for the team to share their enthusiasm and knowledge with others. Wardown House, Museum and Gallery consists of a highly skilled team of staff, who, between them, have decades of experience in handling artefacts, designing and planning exhibitions, day to day museum and special events management – you name it, someone knows how to do it! 
 

How do I become a Museum Maker?

Becoming a Museum Maker is easy! You just need to sign up through our simple online registration form and you will become a Museum Maker straight away. Your level of involvement is up to you. Whether you just wish to be a supporter and keep up to date with the latest news or become actively involved, then the choice is yours. Take a look through our challenges on the website and accept a challenge today.

Once you are signed up as a Museum Maker you will receive our newsletters, which will detail our latest news and Museum Maker activity. If there is a challenge that you wish to get involved in, then accept the challenge and we will send you further information. We realise that not everyone has the time to get involved on a regular basis but many people still wish to support the work at Wardown House, Museum and Galley. Whatever your level of involvement we would still love you to become a Museum Maker.
