What's involved?

We are looking for a small team of Museum Makers to join our new specialist cleaning team, The Bug Busters. We need Museum Makers to help us look after and care for our collections at both Wardown House and Stockwood Discovery Centre.

A big part of caring for our vast collections is creating and maintaining a clean environment. As a member of The Bug Busters, you wil lbe actively helping us to clean and hoover our galleries and stores. Full training will be provided.

This role will be based at both Wardown House, Museum and Gallery and Stockwood Discovery Centre. We are happy to work with Museum Makers on flexibility around which site, if one is more preferable than the other. You will be required to commit a minimum of four hours, once a week.



Why get involved?

By joining The Bug Busters conservation cleaning team, you will learn how to care for and clean museum collections. You will learn why bugs and dust are a potential threat to our objects. You will also be actively contributing towards preserving the museum's vast collections.

You will be able to work across both sites, either Wardown House, Museum and Gallery or Stockwood Discovery Centre. There is the potential to learn environmental monitoring or decide if you would like to join our conversation carriage cleaning team, The Wheelies.
