Telling the story of the Wardown House transformation
As we continue to mark our first months since reopening our focus now turns to our next piece of work, which is to reflect on how the project went, find out if we achieved what we hoped we would, and identify what we learnt. To help us do this we have commissioned a freelance evaluation consultant, Sarah Boiling, who is based in North London, and has already been working with Revoluton Arts at the Hat Factory, as well as with museums and arts organisations in London, Dorset, Bristol, Wales and Belfast. Sarah will be gathering a wide range of evidence about the project including feedback from staff, Museum Makers and visitors, and creating a report for the project funders, Heritage Lottery Fund as well as to share with other museums and heritage sites around the country.
In the same way that that Museum Makers contributed to transforming the house, we hope that you will want to be involved in the evaluation too. There will be discussion groups to get your perspective of the project (dates to follow soon) and if you would like to have a more active role in the evaluation there are three ways to be involved: we are looking for interviewers to take visitors through a short survey; data inputters to enter the survey results; and creatives to help design and produce the finished report. All challenges are currently live so please do sign up and help us tell the story of the Wardown transformation. If you would like to know more about the evaluation plans, Sarah can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org
